so investiture was okay on tues.
hmm SWEET.
i wouldnt say it finally came
because i think it came far too soon!
so mixed feelings abt it all.
on the whole, i think invest was good.
minus off those little faults,
it would have been perfect :)
im happy with my speech,
im happy with all others.
actually, i must have been the happiest girl tt day.
maybe cos the burden is finally taken off,
i feel just more relaxed?
ms goh said i walked lightly?!
which i din understand wat that meant.
heehee and mr lim and mr siow congratulated me
which i found it perculiar
cos im not the one becoming the pres!
hahah ms ng said i looked awfully happy!! :D
dont be mistaken,
council did not robbed me of my happiness
but ive got to admit it was a stressful time.
stepping down sure is a miserable feeling
to a certain extent.
i mean this one yr as pres has been so meaningful.
it was an experience i'll never forget
and an experience i dont mind going thru agn.
it was one of the best things that cld ever happen to me.
and the bunch of 12 exco members i worked with were simply AWESOME
i guess because of our different personalities,
it made it easier to complete tasks altogether :)
and as much as i was constantly being bullied by some of them
[are u all getting guilty?]
i think it made the exco journey more exciting ;)
so it pays to be happy
afterall, this experience is smtg money cant be exchanged for.
i rber the time since i was being told the good news
at queenstn stadium wn mrs yeo smsed me.
haha and kingyin began screaming in joy with me.
till this very day,
i've offically stepped down.
true enough, i was certainly on cloud 9 on invest.
those smiles were genuine.
one that i could not have expressed for a long time.
and these few days,
the joy just din wanna leave ;)
however, its no doubt i am feeling sad.
stepping down marked the end of my term
no more good times with exco.
no more chance to have council mtgs.
and the list goes on..
but since all good things come to an end,
i think i ought to be proud for coming this far.
i've done the best i could have as pres,
and there's ntg more i could give.
there's alot i've learnt abt being a leader,
having acquired practical skills etc.
but most importantly, just like in track
i've made many valuable friendships in council.
so the journey ends here for me
but no regrets! :)
i've done well and now its time to pass the baton to waiteng!
i believe she too has the capability to lead council.
yes, it calls for more celebration that mourning
now that i've stepped down.
so lynette, you should be proud! =D
however, the number of tests per week
certainly is strangling me.
endless tests were given to us
of course for our own good.
there's 5 tests next week.
definitely too much for me to handle
plus there's last min work for art tap
so im really pretty busy!
i guess students complain of the piling tests
that makes them ever so stress
but taking a minute to think abt it,
i feel that the tchers are suffering with us!
u see ,each of us only does one test
but for our tcher, they have to mark like 40 scripts?!
furthermore, should they have more classes,
their workload automatically increases.
haha so who should be sympathised more?
heehee none!;)
we're all working to a similar goal
that is to ACE our o levels.
so i guess as long as we have put in our very best effort, we can't ask for more.
besides, the school has constantly been encouraging us, giving rewards to students who perform well for exams.
its meant to serve as a motivation for us to work harder
and true enough, it did for me =D
bcos i have YET to receive any,
i keep telling myself to work harder and one day
i'll get to shake Mrs Lee's hands!
hahha so cool!
so let's all work to our major exams!!!
