NO MONDAY BLUES =)
Monday's timetable is probably the best of all days. I end at 2.50pm and the lessons are not as taxing as the other days. Tomorrow is going to be long and terrible =/ Having to stay awake for 2 periods of chinese just isn't easy for me. But at least there's track to look forward to (:
So many people asked me why do i look so happy today and somehow i just didn't have any answer to that. I myself wonder how possible it is to stay cheerful all day long? And i guess most people now think i'm one happy-go-lucky little girl. Haha, the walk towards turf city today was a "make fun of lynette" session it seemed. I am constantly being made fun of because of my lack of ability to comprehend simple jokes and yes, i guess i'm just W-O-L-S =/
I completed my econs quiz with a score of 24/35 and i wonder if that's alright. 69% isn't all that bad to begin with so im pretty satisfied (: Ohhh and i've just discovered, much to my delight, that zachery got into Talentime 2007!! But just when i was so excited about going to support him as well as ernest, I opened my mailbox only to realise there will be Tapestry meeting this friday night! =( There goes my hope of going for Talentime! This is extremely upsetting but i guess everything just happens for a reason.
My mind's in a mess as of now, and i just don't want to do my work. Sometimes it's just the smallest thing in life that causes you headache. It's like having to pretend feeling comfortable in people's presence when you really ain't. It's not easy to describe what's going through my head right now. But i guess i just wish for more privacy at times like this :( Anyway during Civics today, Mr Goh, Nic and Wern Chia shared with the class about the topic on Love. and Mr Goh told us about the five languages of love.

and i cant remember what the last one was. Haha and i guess majority of us agreed that words of affirmation makes us feel the most loved :) Felicia and I both felt gifts made us loved too! Not that we are materialistic or whatsoever, but i live receiving small little gifts. Inexpensive they may be, but yet they still mean something to me! :D

A good start, a good ending.
SAA Cross Country at Macritchie was a good race to begin 2007, and im thankful we emerged 2nd as a team :) Just a few days before the race when i developed cramps on my right calf, i was thinking how unfair life was. That all had to happened just when i was gearing up for my very first race, representing NJC. But I'm indeed thankful that the pain eased off by saturday and I was very much relieved it wouldn't affect my performance :) The race was a wet and muddy one, with terrains so slippery that you really ought to be extra careful when running down slopes. The puddles and all made my legs extremely dirty but throughtout the race, there wasn't room for being clean, to me i just wanted to run my best. And im glad i did, because i set a new pB oof 18mins 48secs and yup, satisfied =D Maybe without those stiches, i may have performed better. But it doesnt matter now, because im convinced hardwork paid off and the consistent trainings made me fitter as the days went by. This race proved to me how different a race would go with your mindset. Past 2 years, i recall myself frowning while warming up, feeling all nervous at the starting line. But yesterday, the girls joked around during warm-up, made me laughed quite a bit, calming down my nerves. Mr Irwan and Mr Lim just told us to run our best so there wasn't really much for a pressure to win something. So that made me relaxed, happy and ready to give my all for the race. Since our team was in front, i think that kind of attributed to a good timing for me too. All in all, it was a great race for me and it's spurring me on to train harder :)
After prize presentation, ten of us went for track dinner at The Prata House. Had the extremely heaty milo dinosaur and super oily pratas that made my throat very painful now =/ But the food was secondary, i think what matters was the fun we had as a small team. I never laughed so much back in crescent. I never had so much fun during dinner. As much as laughing whilst eating causes indigestion, we seldom have the opportunity to do so anyway. We played some number guessing game and I'm proud to announce that i'm a loser!! It's all Leon's fault! Haha is shouldn't have picked up the call. Lynette, you are so dumb. And now, i owe them a forfeit on tuesday together with Aaron :/ Please don't make it something embarrassing! Looking at each others photo on the ez-link card sent us laughing so badly till our sides hurt because some were indeed VERY hilarious ;) All in all, I conclude that NJ trackkers are really really really FUN people. Because of that, I'm just loving the team more and more each day. The guys make each training much more enjoyable :D As much as i ALWAYS get mocked at, or being the slowest when it comes to understanding jokes, haha i still have fun! :) Reached home around ten and my mum wasn't angry or anything. Pheww. Spent the night smsing away and penning down my reflections for the race.
Have been enjoying myself so much the past few days and not doing any of my work as yet. But I've convinced myself that now is probably the only time to have fun before term 2 comes and everyone would just be mugging away :/ Then there'll be no more slacking around in school, staying out till ten. At least we had a second OG outing on friday night at PS Pasta Mania :) Celebrated Ernest's bday there too. Oh and before that in school, Zachery was entertaning us with his vocals! haha i seriously hope he gets into Talentime and our class will go and support him! He sings well with his wife (guitar) and i was pretty much mesmerised! Haha Suyi and I agreed that the song he sang reminded us of sad stuff but nevertheless, Zac's good! :D

Looking through the orientations photos I've just recieved made me recall those wonderful times Og 13 had shared. The silliest things we did as an OG, coming up with a cheena cheer which made others raised their eyebrows at us. Singing the banana song which was absolutely hilarious. Not forgetting the aircon cheer we did to get the aircon switched on in Lt1. I'm also 100% certain that no one in my class would ever forget the past one week or orientation (:

2. OG 13 outing at Vil'age. At the entrance of Heeren where we were made to do the mass dance as forfeit=/
3. The girls sucking mussels out of the shells. It was my first time eating MUSSELS!
4. Han Ern presenting the 'Most Enthusiastic OG of Terra' to me on behalf of my OG. Just compare the vast height difference :P
5. The special people of my life (: plus the pretty certs and photo frames done by our OGLs!
6. 07S11 with our CT- Mr GOH.
7. And this is the picture which was taken just last friday. The guys who never fail to make the girls laugh over their silly actions :D We didnt have the slightest idea what they were doing but they definitely amused us and made the boring day much more interesting :)
Sad to say, it's now back to reality where we ought to get back into the studying mood.
Tutorials are piling up and because of the work that has to be completed, Nicole and i are staying home instead of meeting up :( At least I saw her at MacRitchie ystd as well as Elizabeth and Vivian. It reminded me of Crescent yet again! And Zoey was trng at Mac too!!! We greeted each other with a hug despite us all drenched in perspiration. I hope the new coach would bring Crescent Track to greater heights cos i wanna see all my juniors excelling this year! :D Planning to drop by Crescent after school this wednesday cus right now, there's ntg on yet! It's visiting juniors time! ;))
3 months will be over in a twinkle of an eye and I've been constantly reminded to ENJOY the first 3 months. Of course that means NOT spending all your time mugging before and after school. One funny incident that occured on friday.My class was at the Level 3 benches and some J2s walked past us and began chanting: "J1s don't study, J1s don't study." Haha i found it pretty hilarious, but i guess as what the physics lecturer told us, We ave to GET ALIVE! :) So I'm glad I made a right choice to stay in school to laze around on friday. Talked to Justin, Thomas and Crystal at the grandstand till 6 plus. We played some titi game with the fingers and I'm so going to practise moving my fingers so that they become more flexible! I just can't seem to move 2 fingers simultaneously and that results in me being laughed at =/ I'll win the next time we play that! Haha like real. Oh and Crescentians are known to be 'slow' in NJ. Perhaps i'm just one living example. Andre asked me what W-O-L-S was and i didnt know! Basically, half the time the long-d are telling jokes i just don't understand until further explaination is made. HEEHEE Lynette you really need to buck up! (:

Spent the afternoon doing Maths ystd and it's truly disappointing that I was unable to solve a single math qns! :( Perhaps i've lacked the practice over the past 2 months so that results in the failure to complete my work! Demoraelising! Gonna get my sister to teach me all that i need to know this afternoon, hopefully i'll be enlightened :) And now, i've been forching myself to read newspapers with much understanding because ive been told my english standard is not good. Not that i dint know right from the start, i mean ive been getting C5 throughout my sec sch exams so what do you expect? Heh but well, I guess ive truly became much more optimistic and i shouldnt really be too hard on myself either. It's only the 3rd week of school for goodness sake and no way am i going to stress myself over nothing at all. See, I'm positive because that keeps me going :D
SAAA race next saturday. As much as I sense myself regaining the due fitness, i am no doubt feeling unprepared=/ This race just reminds me of how Crescent emerged 2nd for team in 2005 and 2006. How the medals are still neatly placed in my drawer. This sat, I only wish to run the very best i can and be satisfied after the race! We shall work together as a team, so JIAYOU NJC! :) and JIAYOU CRESCENT too! :)
anyway, YINGMIN you cheer up alrights?
Don't let stress overwhelm you cos i've every confidence that you'll be able to stay strong once again. I hope you'll rber all the quotes and motivation we had for each other the past 2 yrs. It's mind over matter yet again so don't give up okay? I'll still be here for you even in NJ and i really look forward to seeing you on wed. Just take me as an living example who succeeded in coping all sort of commitments back then in sec 3. it was my stress yr, but hey i survived through it :) SO can you! take care alrights <33

TMR IS THURSDAY!!!!
which means it's sleep in day cos sch starts at 8.40am! =)
yay, one extra hour of sleep!
school the past few days been pretty boring.
or maybe not, im just not used to the lectures and tutorials mode.
it's really difficult for me to stay attentive for 50mins.
after 30mins, my mind just goes elsewhere,
and i drift really really far :(
've been thinking abt the same tgs lately,
just cant seem not to think despite telling myself to.
arggghh, oh heck.
oh oh, and i must say that we J1s have got the NJ sprit!
haha it's like when lesson began on mon,
the canteen was filled with J1s doing their tutorials after sch!
haha and sad to say, i was one of them :P
my class can also be called the MUGGER class.
we spent our 2 free preiods today,
during tutorials in the canteen instead of playing! =/
realised my class is more or less split into 3 grps.
broad categories-girls and guys.
then within the guys there are 2 grps,
the guai-er and hardworking ones
and the playful but muggerish too.
am i making any sense here?
well well, if u attend tutorials with us, u'll see the 3 groups very distinctively :P
STILL, i love 07s11 :D

turn out was pretty bad but we entertained ourselves.
hahaa shalom talks like ALOTTT!
and she doesnt mind admitting that!
it's nice to have her with us in track,
bcos she just livens up the spirits of everyone :)
together with wanching of course!
me and usarin were saying how out we felt.
as in, we feel belonged to track larh.
just that we dont rly speak up as much and joke arnd.
maybe we're just serious??
heehee and that reminded us how much we missed creztrack =(
okay let's not think back again.
yeah i realised that i get bullied alomost EVERY sch i go to.
even here in NJC!!! =/
i dunno if it's bcos im short or whatsoever,
i just find it amusing how i get mocked at so easily.
and mimicked by others too!
thankfully i never take them too seriously,
else i'll really be an unhappy girl everyday.
but i trust that's not going to happen,
simple bcos they're jus fooling arnd and it keeps everyone happy too :)
uu told me that she heard the olvls results are out next wk.
which i think it's pretty impossible!!!
but all the same, im seriously worried abt the results!
i wish my prelim marks is my olvls results.
being in this stream class is no doubt pressurizing,
but i believe they're the greatest bunch of friends i cld ever make so quickly!
how fast we bonded with each other is rly impressive.
it's no longer abt getting results gd enuff to stay in NJ.
it's abt getting 6 or 7 and staying in THIS class.
that's the hope of everyone in my class now.
i guess that's just how much we love each other! =DD

had a really nice and long nap this afternoon:)
i guess i was pretty much exhausted from the mere 4.5h of sleep i had last night.
and to add on, we did weights trng this morning.
i was the only girl, trng tgt with the guys.
truth being said, it was kinda weird.
but then again, they're all friendly and nice to me,
so haha it wasn't all that bad afterall.
i'm thankful for the rain, bcos i rly didnt wanna go turfcity.
the ground wld be wet, and i wont be able to give my 1oo%.
weights trng definitely benifitted me
as my upper body is terribly weak =/
but im so pleased, happy and glad that mr irwan is coaching us tgt with mr lim.
frankly, mr irwan reminds me alot of mr lin,
one who actually believes in my potential to run well,
and ultimately to do the college proud.
so because of his faith in me, i'm more spurred on to give my 101% at every trng.
i dont dragg myself to trng like how i did back in crescent.
as much as i commited myself alot to creztrack,
making sure others come down for trng too,
i've gotta admit how stimes i wish i din had to train.
but i guess here in NJ is a whole diff thing.
simply because i am commiting myself only to track.
no council or other stuff that wld distract me like in cres.
2 yrs in Jc is bound to pass really fast.
so im not joining council as much as many of my snrs and friends ask me to. sorry pple!
man, i wish orientation begins on monday again.
i just don't wish to start attending lectures, doing tutorials etc.
I WANNA HAVE FUN! :D

so that's the end of Orientation 2007 at NJC.
the past 5 days had been awesome!
it was just play from morning to night,
coming back to sleep and the fun starts all over again.
what made it more fun was probably then ple.
OGLs were super enthu with us,
and my OG mates were high everyday :D
so all in all, we had a whale of a time!
i shall recap all the exciting activities this week,
because it was far too memorable!
tuesday:
we had adventure arnd the school
which were quite alright.
some of the games were really lame,
while others were just exciting.
somehow or rather, i cant seem to rber the games we played.
all i rbered was the punch i recieved while playing capt ball.
it hurt so much that i started tearing.
cos i was so afraid my teeth wld drop and my nose wld bleed.
it was funny all the same cos crystal warned me abt him b4 the game.
saying how violent he was.
so now i am fully convinced :)
somehow, ive got a forbia for ball games alr.
esp captain ball and basketball.
wednesday:
External hunt around singapore!!! :)
my og went to woodlands then pasir ris.
it was just hilarious how everyone got hyped up overnight.
while other OG were strolling,
we were running from station to station.
which was a good thing cos we completed all 8 stations
while most of the OGs did 5 only.
so we were chiong-ing thru-out,
yet enjoying ourselves at the same time :)
lunched at BK, and the long bus journey to pasir ris saw everyone falling asleep.
neverthelesss, we regained our spirit once we reached.
and someone started speaking with the cheena accent.
and came up with a cheena cheer,
which i think my OG is famous for right now! :D
Mr Goh, our CT was laughing at us too!
heehee i guess we were having so much fun at pasir ris park
that we din succeed in completing all 8 stations :(
so we din manage to win the external hunt!
i guess most of us were pretty disappointed by that.
because if we were allowed to do that very last staion,
we wld have gotten a big watermelon! :)
that's out of point, but who cares as long as we had fun!
OG outing at Vil'age was plain hilarious.
after our meal, we spent that whole time laughing away.
played this game whereby u had to make someone laugh.
and danial, this funny guy, sent the whole OG laughing.
just one look at his expression, and u will definitely laugh.
unless u are marvin, the opp of danial,
someone who hardly smiles!! ;)
so my group lost the laughing game
and our forfeit was to dance at the entrance of heeren!
it was super malu-ating and i just wanted to dig a hole to bury my head beneath.
thankfully, we werent wearing school u or anything,
else i really cant imagine what'll happen :P
thursday:
a day filled with lots and lots of dancing.
it was pretty tiring, considering the fact we danced for 2.5hrs.
all the clan and OG bonding sessions were good too!
we attracted lots of stares from ple in the canteen
when he began imitating daniel's funny actions.
turned that into a cheer and sent han ern laughing too! :D
it's a lame and dumb cheer with the actions.
but most imptly, all of us were having fun doing that! :)
friday:
the day which marked the end of orientation :(
the day which was also the most memorable.
rained the entire day so the war games were switched to linkway.
it was sucha violent game
that when my clan was against another clan,
someone was sent off for being too violent.
the look on his face was rly scary,

and screaming =X
i was so terrified and when i got pushed from the back,
i almost fell into the pail in the centre!
terrible game. it seriously wasnt fun, cos of the violence.
inter-clan mass dance competition there after.
timothy(my dance partner) and i won 1st!!! =DDD
HOORAYYYY.
haha i was so scared i wld forget my dance steps once on stage,
thankfully i pulled thru =)
with a first in fact. YAY.
i was asked by a snr to join western dance after that,
but sorry, my passion belongs to ONLY track.
and really, i just wanna do well in track, that's all :)
we had class interaction with Mr Goh too.
so Ngiam, our hot favourite is the CT
and im the house affiliate.
campfire was cancelled due to the rain,
so my OG just bought pizza, chicken wings and satays to eat.
everyone was happily eating when the sad part began.
mian jun talked to us abt how good our OG was,
probably the best he has ever seen.
and i know he enjoys the company of the guys in my class
becos u can see he rly was having fun these 5 days.
halfway thru his 'speech', he just walked away abruptly
making me wonder what was happening.
only to realise he was crying!!!
oh man, i felt really upset seeing him cry
so haha i cried too!
it felt so much like a farewell party somehow.
then it was catrin and rachel's turn to speak to us.
the atmosphere was just weird and all.
happy and sad feelings all jumbled tgt.
so when han ern announced OG 13 won the most enthu award in terra,
i was saturated with happiness that i cried even more!
heehee took a photo with the trophy with my teary eyes=/
OG 13, wo ai ni!!!
the OGLs prepared rly nice gifts for each of us.
a cert and a picture taken.
i got the all-rounder awardd!! haaha :)
so sad stuff aside, it was the DANCE PARTY!!!
the hall was truly disco-like.
everyone seemed to go high and just danced all they wanted.
the guys in my class were super enthu too!
so the girls were laughing while they danced like crazy.
i heard many ple crashed the dance party last night,
how true it is, i dont know.
but definitely, it was really really FUN =D
however, it kinda made me never wanna go disco next time.
heh so maybe i wished the last day of orientation wld end of nicely.
but it didnt.
i received some really surprising news,
that up till this moment,
i am still no doubt thinking about it.
really wished those words werent said.
cos stimes the truth hurts much more.
it's making me really really confused =X
i dunno what i should do now on.
feelings cant be controlled, actions can.
but either way, i can't pretend ntg has happened at all.
just as much as i want to, it just seems impossible!
so nothing much to say anymore,
let's just be our usual selves :))

Day 1 of NJ orientation was GREATT :)
haha the Clans walk in was really good.
i still like AQUA frankly, but now im in Terra!
doesn't matter, cos the ple there's still nice! :)
finally got out civics classes today.
07S11 shall be it!
the amazing or rather fascinating thing is that
the ratio of girls:boys in my class is 1:2
HAHA the OGLs were laughing at us girls.
BUT, i love my civics class cos everyone's rly enthu.
and the guys are super funny!
really hope this will be my class for the next 2 yrs,
altho i highly doubt so =/
heh mass dance was fun today.
partnered with zachery, who learns rly fast.
haha it makes me feel so pressurized to get the steps right too!
but he's a nice partner!
trng at turf city was good too!
im starting to feel part of the team already.
after 1 month of trng with them,
at least now i dare to chat/joke arnd with them! :)
and that makes trng really enjoyable.

Back from shopping and a great run at turfcity this morning.
i think i ran about 8km in total today.
haha great achievement, and thanks zhihua for ur encouragement!! :D
if not, i highly doubt i wld have pushed myself till the end.
frankly, first 3 days at school was plain boring.
the talks were all lumped together
so we sat in the hall listening to talk after talk.
followed by MANY introductory lessons =/
the only thing i was looking forward to was trng on thurs.
hahha trngs r strenuous yet satisfactory :)
and the team's just nice!
oh usarin said i ought to update grace's conversation with one of her OG member-a guy
grace: so how do you like njc?
haha guess what his reply was!!!
him: i came to njc to take my A'levels,
whether i like it or not, it doesn't matter.
haha the way grace imitated him was so hilarious!
and it seems he was very interested in all the science research etc.
he must be one of the top students in future! ;)
haha with orientation that starts on the 8th to 12th,
i'm really EXCITED!
the activities seems so fun and we get learn our mass dance!
just went to the website to explore abt orientation
and i saw the mass dance!
heehee it's not too bad;)
so one whole week of fun coming along!!!
unfortunately, we'll be changing Ogs next wk.
cos we'll be grouped according to our civics grp le.
AHHH i just bonded with my OG 9.
which has really fun and nice OGLs!!!
hopefully, i get to stay in the same clan-AQUA! :)
went back to crescent for campfire ystd.
it was so nice to see everyone again :)
i miss the trackers,the teachers,the juniors and even the building!
hahah usarin and i hugged the pillar at the parade sq!
hahha campfire was the usual items,
but what made it diff was seeing crescentians once again.
that feeling of nostalgia and all.
i was being informed of the council bbq on the 12th,
and im super duper upset i can't make it.
likewise for the other councillors in NJ.
we have campfire that night to mark the end of orientation
and it ens at 10pm!
it's impossible for us to go back for the farewell :(
unless we skip campfire which i dont think so.
hmmm oh well, i hope the others have fun!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
let's hope 2007 will be a great one for all of us! :)
no new yr resolutions for me this yr.
just 3 wishes:
1.happiness
2.good health
3.good results
and i shall try to scrape that morbid thought
that keeps reappearing in my mind.
i want to live my life to the fullest ;)
today was a great start.
went shopping with my parents and
it's the first time it was productive!
i spent $75 altogether!!
and i bought the top from pull and bear which i've been eyeing for quite long.
finally on sale so i was OVERJOYED!! :D
haha school's starting in 2 days.
im feeling rather excited!
can't wait to meet up with those who are in nj too
and make new friends!
