Finally a TRACK REUNION :)
All the cross girls turned up for trng today except for 2 but that's good enough. It was such a good feeling warming up as a team, stretching and everything! Even though there was some sucky time trial awaiting me, I couldn't have ask for a better trng seeing everyone around :) And yes, I'll be seeing all of them for trng tmr again :) Jiayou for all our timetrials tmr! :) So well, I managed to better my previous timing for 400mH and succeeded in clearing all hurdles without shuffling!!! That's was a great achievement to me and made me feel so contented even though the timing was not fantastic. Heh and now I know how to whack the hurdles and not let it scare me. I just told myself to jump regardless of the distance I was from the hurdle. And yes, it worked! :) That shall be my strategy!
Okay I'm pretty much in a good mood now and I shall continue to stay that way. Think happy thoughts Lynette :D I just can't wait for Nationals to be over so I can truly enjoy myself and indulge in never ending luxury food! It's going to come and go quickly so perservere on! :)

YAY CT is more or less over for me (: What's left is Physics SPA on friday and Chinese next tuesday. There's nothing much to comment for this CT since it's no longer worrying what grade you'll get. It's whether you'll fail or pass by that few marks. So the fear will only come later, when we start getting back our marked papers=/ Amazingly, I was weirdly relaxed all through the past 3 days despite not revising the night before. My friends called me crazy for training afetr my papers which ended at 5.30 pm on Mon n 5pm on Tues, because I reached home at 8 plus, ate my dinner and showered before I cld begin some revision around 9pm. But due to the lethargy, I went to bed at 10pm. Haha so you can just say all I read each night was abt 5 pages of notes=/ I was shocked when I automatically turned to bed the minute the clock struck 10. thank goodness I did not keep any chapters to be gone through the night before. Else I would have really suffered badly, knowing my inability to stay up.
So no papers tmr! But there's trng in the afternoon, once again my 4th consecutive trng this week, worst still a time trial =/ I think my mind's wholly on Nats, Nats, Nats and some other stuff which I cannot choose not to think about. The same few things have been going through my mind for the past few days which freaks/scares/upsets me. BLEAGHHH. And the following 2 pictures are evident of how I think about Nats all day long because I FEAR it.

These were doodled during physics SPA briefing today, when I should be paying attention to the Do's and the Dont's. Seriously, I'm feeling the butterflies now already, and it's 2 weeks to my first event =/ Gahh. For the past 3 trainings, it has been reduced to Miaoqun and I which certainly is sad sad sad. We were doing out corework today near the Bball court as we reminisce of the good ole days before cross season, whereby both the girls and the guys cross runners did strengthening all together. Now what's left for training even is really quite demoraelising... Oh wells. So the past 5 days, I've been distracted/unhappy and what not. But thank you mq for being by my side through my darkest hour! :) thank you for cheering me up during the past 3 trngs we had tgt, for that shoulder to lean on. Else I think I would have suffered from misery terribly =/

Okay, June's ending which marks half the yr of 2007 gone. July's approaching and it's going to be a really eventful month for me. There's so many big events upcoming this July, just look at the list.

1. Youth Day

2. Date with sheng and ning (:

3. End of Common Tests (REJOICE)

4. Enrichment Week

5. Cindy's Departure to Aussie :((((

6. NATIONALS!!!!!

7. GCE A LEVEL Chinese Oral Exam (which just have to fall on my first race day)

8. Boy's Birthday (I shall get him the chocolate cake from Pan Pacific which was mq's bday cake, it's super nice but sinful.)

9. Me becoming an AUNTY! :)

10. GCE A LEVEL Chinese Listening Comprehension

11. HFY Briefing for 07E

12. Shopping with NICOLE :DD

13. Crescent Speech Day (which reminds me I need to write my speech SOON!)

14: TAPESTRY 07!!! The event we've been working really hard on! :))

That's a really long list for a month of 30 days. There are events which I look forward to, but there are also those I dread. But all in all, it sure is going to be an exciting one.

I fell and I failed, but never too much to get up and go again.

Training was pathetic today, not because there were only 4 atheletes with me being the only girl, but rather my 400m hurdles TT was just horrendous. 1st attempt, I just bypassed the first hurdle. 2nd attempt, I fell on both my knees after the 3rd hurdler but picked myself up to complete the run. So my knees are now slightly scraped, and it hurt so much then I just broke down. Maybe the simple gesture from coach extending his hand to pick me up at the finishing line did help. He probably knew how I felt and asked me not to give up. Definitely an encouragement I needed then. So reluctantly I did my 3rd attempt with Andre pacing me on Lane 1, and glad to say, I cleared all hurdles! Timing still sucked but it doesn't matter. Tmr will be the 4th consecutive training for me this week and it seems like my academics have taken a step behind this time round. Surprisingly I've put alot more time and effort into this track season than any other thing, even though I am still feeling unprepared for Nationals.

At least I'm meeting up with Nicole tmr afetr training! :) That just makes everything better :)

56 is my jinxed number from now on. I redid the entire physics video which my group took 7 hours to complete yesterday. And the problem is still not solved because it cannot be published beyond 56%. This is terrible an I give up.

Time to move on?

Life has pretty much been terrible with a capital T but date with miaoqun yesterday made th week much better :) Finally got to watch Shrek 3 and I loved it! Haha thought it was really funny though there were so 'jokes' I couldn't catch. Nevertheless, it was nice! :D Time seemed to fly when you're enjoying yourself cos at 6.10pm we were only at the very first shop! Ahh so we vivisted those shops we wanted to go in the next 1.5hrs before leaving marina. Unfortunately, I did not manage to purchase anything as much as I wanted to. Those clothes I liked I coulnd't fit in cos even the small size was too big! Which is really funny cos the Zara tees I have are all small and I could still wear them. Dang, it was so disappointing not buying anything especially when I've looked forward to this day the entire week :( It's not like I eat very little either. Pouts, no new stuff makes lynette a sad girl. Heh but still, the company was great! Thanks miaoqun. Hope you're happy with your many buys! I'm so going to find out your 'secret' soon! HAHA.

Okay, I look like a leopard now because my skin is starting to peel! Boo=( The spots on my arms are exactly like those on the leopard and that is extremely disgusting. I rather all the dark skin hurry come off instead of leaving such white patches. Oh anyway, last night's msn conversation with my brother and qingsheng(my next door neighbour who is in NJC too) was really funny. Found it so amusing how the 3 of us were so close to each other in a circle of radius less than 50m and chatting on msn. Haha my brother and I were only separated by a wall and it's like if you remove the wall, we will be facing each other. Haha so I realised that when you put 2 soccers fans together, the only topic is about soccer. that got me so bored afetr barely a few minutes so I decided not to join in the conversation. Haha funny how I suddenly got to know qingsheng better after 6 yrs in the same block, all thanks to his initiative to ask me on monday in school. Monday's 'get-to-know' session was equally amusing (:

So it's raining now and I can't go for much planned run. Been dealying this long run since friday's morning and I kept hoping it would rain so that would be an excuse not to run. But when I really was determined to do so today, it rained! Which means I wld need to find time this evening to do so after my physics VA later. Haha my discipline has vanished. Oh well, it's only about 3 weeks to Nationals =/ OHH SHALOM GOT FFIRSTT for 200m at yesterday's SWFIT MEET. woohoo, she's superb! YOU GO GIRL! :DD

Lesson learnt the hard way.
My skin is EXTREMELY pathetic now and I am filled with so much regrets for not putting on sunblock at yltc. Halfway during training today, bubbles just started appearing on my hands and legs =/ It was so freaky and I instantly slapped on tons of sunblock as though that would 'kill' the bubbles. Of course it didn't, and for the rest of the trainings, I hid my hands behind my back whenever possible. I am seriously scared that I'll get skin cancer cause I recall reading in Mind Your Body sometime ago that if you get burnt 4 times, chances of getting skin cancer is very high! Dang, I've already been burnt twice. First at OBS, Second at YLTC. So i came home from training and got scolded by my mum for the blackness of my skin =( And the old topic of "you should not be in track" came up again. Everytime something goes wrong, track always gets the blame somehow. But then again, I don't ever blame my mum because I know she cares for me, and wants to see me fit and healthy too. Sigh, that means the inability to be out in the sun for the next few days lest condition gets worser. From now onwards, I'm going to put sunblock before trainings! No more burnts! :) And to my Track EXCO, I really apologise for my absence for the Track Retreat tmr. My skin's really bad so I need to stay out of the sun :( I know you guys put in lots of effort into planning this camp, so hope you all will have fun k! I'm sure the other atheletes will have fun too! :)

Okay, just when I thought it was game over for me, I had to be picked up and placed on the track again. Yesterday, I gave up on myself. Decided that it was truly pointless to even strive for Nationals because this time round, I know I won't be able to surpass my ability. Failed to complete my 400m workout AGAIN. So I took a long run/walk past Serene Centre, reflected on everything that has been happening during trainings and what not. It was then I realised that I should just give up cos my mental strength has vanished and so has my passion for running. I amazed the other cross girls with my reluctance to begin training, but shortly after decided that it was wrong to spread such negative influences so I spurred them on instead. Funny how my thoughts vary over a mere split second. So today, after hearing from coach and my fellow athletes, I removed any thought of throwing the white towel. Perhaps I may still fall short of expectations, but the belief people have in me sometime just forces me to keep trying. We often hear that giving up is half the battle lost, and such mentality will definitely not go a long way. Haha, if people have faith in you, you just have to do the same and have faith in youself (: WE CAN DO IT NJ!

I'm so lucky to have such an enthusiastic group for the highfive PBC project! :) The group I'll be advising have really good ideas and they're a great bunch of people to work with! So first meeting at Ben and Jerry's yesterday was a good start! :D Well done guys.

From left to right: Jiaxuan(rj- my rgps friend, it's such a small world), macey(rgs), valencia(rj), zhaodong(nj-and he only knew i was in nj yesterday! tsk), me(see how chaota I am), kiral(hc-the group's project director!) fiona's missing.

Dinner at Carnivore in Vivocity was good too! Although all the meaty stuff were so salty and made me feel like puking after dinner. And the ever so butter finger me dropped a marshmallow in the chocolate fondue which made my family laugh at me as usual =/ I always seem to be the joker of my family. Tsktsk. Ohhh and I SAW the baby's hand moving in my sister's tummy! =X It was so freaky and my brother and I just couldn't stop being grossed out by how something can even grow and move in the tummy. HAHA :D

Okay, can I complain how I have not ran for 8 days already and I'm still feeling too tired to begin the training. Boo. Swift Meet next weekend and I certainly don't wish to participate cos I feel so unprepared still! :( I suddenly feel like stopping training altogether but fat hope. Keeping my fingers crossed that my fitness have not deproved that much when i return to training tmr (:

Hello world, Lynette's back from camp :)
Camp was a blast, 5 days without any worries, no stress just fun. So coming back to civilisation is certainly not nice, not when I had so many emails, meetings, work to settle the minute I got back yesterday =/ But even though i was so lethargic and listless on my way back to Nj ystd morning. I was happy to be welcomed back by miaoqun, melissa and tseruey!! Thanks so much! :) I felt so loved when I saw them sitting at the steps at the atrium waiting for my grand arrival. Haha and seeing the little bear keychain on my shoebag being replaced made my day more! Thanks Justin :) Hee here's a brief update of the most enjoyable camp I attended for long!
1)My group=MENON was perhaps the most enthu and bonded group and that made all activities FUN. We cheered our lungs out with a super funny cheer that got everyone laughing the first time they heard it.
2)Food was fantastic at camp :D It tasted like home cooked food everyday.
3)Rafting experience- We barely moved 10metres. In fact, we travelled a negative displacement so they cancelled the intention to camp at East Coast Park.
4)Sea expedition was so tiring cos of the choppy waters. Heh but it was really Fun! :) JinYin and I kept using different strategies to move faster.
5)I got burnt although there wasn't even much sun on our Sea Ex. Now I'm as chaota as the brown colour of my door and my parents said I look like a malay =/
6)Height elements made me realised I do have a phobia of height! :X My legs were shaking so badly up on the wooden log.
7)I kept getting mistaken for a IP student.
8)Walked a total of 16km on wed night, I could hardly feel my legs thereafter.
9)Thursday night was cheering night. Everyone went high and cheered through the night.
10)Slept only for one hour before the siren went out at 3.45am on friday morning. Our challenge then was to make it to Bedok Jetty and back asap. That was another 10km covered. Just imagine walking/running in the wee hours in the morning. HAHA.
11)Learnt many songs from cartoon eg :SPONGEBOBSQUAREPANTS, PPG, Barney, Pokemon etc. All thanks to be Backstreet Boys who made the camp really entertaining :D
12)My group was assigned to wash the toilet which really sucked. It was the most disgusting part of the camp as I had to scrub a toilet filled with sand, hair, cockroaches, earthworms. GROSS=/ I almost puked as I swept those flithy dirt away.
But all in all, this camp was so wonderful I really don't mind going again! :) Camps are always nice cause it allows you to just forget everything and run away from reality. I made so many new friends, all leaders in one way or another. Now with only 2 more weeks left before school reopens, I sure need to buck up! Really have a bad feeling of many things right now. But nevermind, Lynette will not give up!! :D

It's running late but I'm still feeling pretty awake! :) But my whole family is already in bed. Haha anyway, I had such a long and tiring but fun day today :) Started off with meeting at SMU before proceeding to 4Tones for Tapestry 07 auditions. It was great I must say, this year's performers are better than last year. Though there was this band which is extremely overly super hardcore metal! No doubt they were good in their genre but all 7 of us listening had our heads stuck to the wall, and didn't dare to move cos we wanted our lives. HAH it was such a ridiculously funny scene! But they were really scary when the shook their heads vigourously and had the guitars swinging around which we were afraid it wld hit our heads. Oh but generally the acoustics were good!! :) I think people who can sing and play the acoustic guitar are really awesome! Like super romantic and stuff. HAHA. Lunched with Weijie at the nearby coffee shop in the midst of the 6 hour long auditions which really blasted my ear drums. Got treated to a cup of ice lemon tea. HAHA thanks! So anyway, we were talking about highfiveyouth and tapestry. Both of us agreed that tapestry 07 will definitely be more successful that last year cos Haresh is certainly doing a fantastic job! Systematic and he's a fine leader of one who proves tht actions speak louder than words. And because we realised tht most of them will not be involved in tapestry next yr, we wld be the most senior senior ple! And that is going to be rly bad cos we still are quite young and lack experience. Boo. Seems like my plan of not being in the committee for tapestry 08 is going to backfire. Oh well, I must figure a way to cope with this! :) Some photos taken at 4tones, which are all unclear.

This guitar is really cool cos it has many stickers on it!! HAHA there was even one guitar with a spongebob sticker that I wanted to take a picture with but obviously did not have the chance to.

Oh this guy can sing really really well!! :) And he's so friendly too, haaha he kept talking to us. Watch out for him at Orchard during Tapestry!

And she's the bomb! HAHAHA, well control of her voice and it's so sweeet! I'm sure she was previously from chior =)

HAHA and this guy is super lame! We asked him to hang around for a while since his band turned up earlier and he asked us for ropes. HAHA.

This is like the clearest picture I took. haha meant to take the drum set though there are other stuff obstructing the pretty drums. Heh.

Met up with my dear junior yenfang for dinner there after!! :D We were such pigs!!! Ate so much =X Pepper lunch for dinner, followed by desert at Food Republic and as I had craving, ate my favourite pork floss on thick toast from toastbox! Haha that's the problem when you can't spend money on clothes, you end up spending them on food! Oh and there was this family we saw which was so cute. HAHA as in the 3 little kids, 2 boys and a girl. The small boy was only 1-2 yrs old and he was so so adorable! He intelligiently used a fork to 'steal' his brother's fried egg and placed it on his plate. But kids being kids, of course the elder brother took it back, by using his hand! haha it was so amusing to see them eat :D I love cute little kids! Can't wait to become an aunty! HAHA. All in all I had a great time! :) Hope you did too Yenfang! :)

Bored on the escalator =/

At Food Republic. Realised there was quite a nice backdrop :) Hahah the tree looks fake, but it's real!

And that's yenfang posing with her ice kachang!!

Okay, better be off to bed now. Another 6 hours of auditions tmr again. Haha I hope there'll be more acoustic perfomances tmr! :) Meeting up to celebrate Kailing's birthday in the evening, YAY :)

Goodbye folks, I'll be away for a week for camp! So I'll be un-contactable. Haha take care :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CINDY!!! :D
Hope your 19th birthday will be a wonderful one! We really ought to meet up soon, I miss you!! Take good care of yourself yeah, hope you're having fun at all your camps :)

My intended plan to do some revision this morning was ruined because I chose to watch some DVD, police story instead. Super exciting haha one of those jackie chan flims. Haha how ridiculous. And so, I've realised that watching tv helps relieves stress somehow! Kills boredom after all, beats doing work all day long :)

Anyway, for those who are bored, and don't mind using up about 5 minutes of your time. Please attempt a short survey about video gaming on handheld consoles. It's for my PW. The link is :http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=QMge8nBJAl1LWOPPni0lvQ%3d%3d
Thanks so much for your time :)
