WHITE HOUSES;

my dirty little secrets.

Finally, time to relax (:
For the past week, the days seemed to be much lesser than 24hours and each day just zoomed past me. And unknowingly, today's already the last day of July! =/ But the weekend has certainly be eventful and I've got so much to talk about!!! :) Shall begin with Crescent Speech Day on 28th July.

Oh man, the day of nostalgia. HAHA, got to see all my fellow peers in their JC uniforms. Everyone looked almost the same, except the colour of the uniform that is. Heh and since the Class of 2006 did exceptionally well, there were so two hundred over recepients for the academic award :) And I felt like some kind of big shot that day as the GOH mentioned me in her speech, I was invited to dine with all the VIPs in the MPR, and was praised till my head swelled. HAHAHA. cool stuff. Anyway, I actually got $800 for being the COTY =DD I was so overwhelmed with happiness when i saw the amount, unbelievable! I think CGSAA is so generous. YAY more money in my bank. Saving it for my future, haha of course i shall take 10% to spend or smtg. Valedictorian speech, haha it went well i guess. Weird how i really didnt feel as scared as before, probabaly because I've been groomed to be more confident while giving speeches alr! Just that this time round, the target audience was different. No longer students but guests and parents, many of whom I do not know. Nevertheless, it was quite exciting. My mum videotaped my entire speech, and it was the first time my parents were present to listen to me address the school. Haha. The only unfortunate thing was that.. I didn't get to catch up with many of my friends since I was in the MPR the whole time talking to the guests etc :( Photos up another day.

Tapestry was a blast! :) But staying at Orchard for >20hours in 2 days is seriously no joke. U can easily see the different age groups of people hanging out at different times. Haha but anw, this event has finally came to a closure after all that late night meetings and hardwork by the tapestry team! Received positive feedback on this event and I must say it was definitely a success! All those sacrifices made sure was worthwhile. We even stayed over at Park Hotel on Sat night since we had to do AAR of day 1 and report at our respective venues early the next day. 11 of us in one room, haha just imagine, thank goodness it was a suite :) So we're counting the money we raised this friday, hopefully we hit out target of $15000! Anyway, presenting to you the tapestry team 07! :D HAHA and I realise that all of us are less that 21 years old! Yet we managed to plan such a big scale event for the 6th year running. Three cheers to us! =D

I am going nuts.
Just when I thought my biggest burden is gone after Nationals ended on Wednesday and I can relax and chill out with my friends, I was wrong! :( With only one more week to Tapestry, the stress is increasing by the day. Since Thursday I've been having meetings travelling to the east to west of Singapore. Toa Payoh, SMU, Bukit Timah, Boon Lay. Gosh, the time i spend on travelling each day is more than 2 hours!!! Because of the many things to complete before our event, mtg on thurs ended arnd 930pm and i think i was far too exhausted that i woke up an hour late at 640am on fri. And you can guess how frantic I was that I left the house within 5 minutes. But of course, the only way to reach school on time was to cab down. $14.50 gone just like that :( That was the day of my emotional breakdown. Too stressed over so many things and a small event just triggered the frenzy of emotions. Yesterday just wasn't my day once again, falling sick and tolerating school till 430pm. If not for my Chem SPA, I really would not have went to school to suffer. GRR. My parents are unhappy that I've been reaching home after 10pm for the past 3 nights, all due to a same cause. Haha now that track's over, they're worried cos i'm busy with another event. Can't wait for the end of july cos it'll mark the end of everything tha can stress me out! Hopefully, we'll raise the amount we targeted :)

As for CT results, the greatest disappointment ever. Perhaps friends expected me not to do well, judging from the time i spent on track-5 times per week and afterall I'm a DSA student. But maybe I never did realise it wasn't that difficult to fail. And of course, I expected alot mroe from myself though I will admit that I did not put as much effort to my academics this time round. Results PCME, GP, Chinese: SUCESB. Haha i realised I could almost spell the word Success! Haha but I rather not, cos that would only mean more Ss. And maybe U for chem would turn out to be an S as Mr Lim said since I got 39! Just one more mark to an S. Well well, this is a good wake up call for me I guess. It's really time I sat down to go through whatever I do not fully understand before it's too late again. Promos in about 60days and yup, i really need to buck up. So no point looking back and regretting. After all, I got what I wanted in the sense that I achieved what I wanted for track, so just move on!

This coming week=meetings meetings meetings. Got ticked of for being MIA for PBC mtgs for the past wks today :( but it's really not my fault! RAHH. I hope I won't be a zombie at school cos mtgs at Toa Payoh means reaching home late and unable to do hw since I sleep so early. At least next weekend is really going to be fun! CRESCENT SPEECH DAY!!! I am so so excited to meet up with all my lovely crescentians and teachers. I miss them so much! :) Funny how my parents are just as excited as me. They keep asking me what time it begins, whtr my brother can go too(of course not!), and they even went to borrow a video cam which i only found out today!Hahaha. And after speech day there's Tapestry 07 :) Shall do some form of publicity here. Okay this actually not the actual postcard design but quite similar. It'll be held at Ngee Ann City, Cineleisure(where I'll be:)), The Heeren Shops and Wheelock Place from 12pm to 10pm on 28th, 29th July. So do drop by and enjoy busking performances and make a donation! There are nice collaterals too. HAHA see you there!!

The BEST Nationals EVER! =)
So today marked the finals day of the 48th Track and Field Championship and I'm too happy for words!!! HAHA NJ Girls came in 5th overall, quite a fair bit off the 4th but I think we were all satisfied with whatever results we were blessed with. Maybe Lady Luck wasn't exactly on our side this time round, with many events that saw atheletes getting 9th/10th failing to make it to the finals. But the bottomline is, we deserved all that we got so no regrets! :) As for my race, I came in 14th-same as my heats but I ran a PB of 2.42mins so I'm contented. The minute I crossed the finishing line I was all smiles already. I knew I did my best and I was just glad this whole season is over for me. Woohoo :) Thanks to my dearest Crescent juniors for cheering for me and of course the NJ councillors and trackkers. It's really the BEST BEST BEST track season ever for me and thinking about next year just makes me even more excited. One good takeaway from this Nationals is that it is only when you believe you can will you be able to do it. Optimism sure brings you a long way. And what I need to learn is to be able to fight till the end :) Track dinner at Grace's house after was meaningful?? Haha I didn't get to eat KFC chicken!! :( So much for that craving as I knew we were having KFC, settled for pizza in the end. BOO I must eat KFC to reward myself sometime soon! Anyway, I was really happy and all when Mr Lim and Mr Irwan praised me and congratulated me for the hardwork I've put in during trainings. I mean I always felt it was our own responsibility to come for trng regularly etc. So when they both came to talk to me and all, I just feel happy! (hah i think im lost for words besides using happy) HAHA :D BUT Mr Irwan threw a dirty piece of tissue on my face for being too nice! TSKTSKTSK. Too nice during race that is. Cos we were watching the video of my race and it proved that the same girl kept elbowing me dunno how many times throughout the race. I thought it was my fault for being so close so I apologised after the race but seems like I shouldn't have! HAH ohwell, it's not my fault. The video convinced me that it was true I was running more since I stayed on lane 2 almost the whole time. But doesn't matter, it's ALL OVER now and I'm truly satisfied with all that I've achieved this year! Thank you Mr Irwan for your belief and faith in me! :D

As much as I am quite tired after a long day, I doubt I can fall asleep judging from how ecstatic I now am! :X OHH Adrian is one nice chap to talk to! Haha can't believe I actually thought he was called Joshua and never realised I was wrong. How silly of me. Aaron and the throwers were still disturbing me and saying he's really called Joshua. Tsktsk, now I know (:

May the happiness stick with me. HAHAHA.

055.
The number tag I'll always remember. It's the first time in 4 years of Nationals that I actually qualified for FINALS. Furthermore, it's for both my events! :D So I am already very much pleased with my performance at this year's Nationals. It's true that hardwork pays off! It doesn't matter how much sacrifices I've made for track this holidays as it's all worthwhile to me now. For once, I managed to contribute to 1 point to the school!!! That's a big feat to me already (: Coach din believe that I never ever done well for Nationals in Crescent since I actually DSA-ed to NJ. But maybe it's fate afterall. I came in 8th for 400mH finals in the end, 4 seconds off the 7th. Yet I wasn't all that upset that my timing was far worst than Heats, in fact I was glad the race was all over! Told myself I shall not do hurdles next year anymore cos it's far too nerve wrecking=/ HAHA but I was pleasantly surprised when the sprints coach actually congratulated me after my race and asked me to start training under him earlier next year so he can improvise my techinque. Heh I was honoured (: As for 800m, the biggest JOKE for me. I gained fame in 77s. HAHAHAH note the sacrasm. It was so terrible cos I actually led for the first 400m for the race, probably starting off too fast a pace to sustain. SO maluating I tell you, thank goodness there isnt any picture that captured the first 400m of the race else I'm just going to dig a hole to hide in =X So in the end, I just stride through my last 100m without even pushing. Don't ask me why, I think at that time I was too blur to even realise the race was ending. Hah so 14th qualifyer for finals, I certainly hope to do better. The pace on final day is definitely going to be how I ran my first 400m so hmmm hope I can keep up :) Mr Lim spoke to me yesterday and asked me to fly on finals to come in 8th. And seriously, that almost impossible but well I'll just run my best and don't be pressurised. I'm contented enough to have come this far, what's to come on Wednesday, we'll wait and see. No doubt I'm petrified since it's the final day and the crowd is going to be amazing. That's the reason why I don't like running on the final day. I am people-phobia. Haha =) Anyway, my face's plastered over SAA's gallery for 400mH Heats. Hahah I'm popular! Justkidding:P

Yes that's me in red of course (: But no I was Not the first in my heat, just leading among this pack at the 2nd bend. And the hurdle that I was running towards was the one which cost my injury on both my Heats and Finals. JINXED!

These were the 2 in front of me in my heat!! Just look at Grace and Yi Mei fight it out.

Haha so cool, I've got an individual picture!! :)

Okay I burst out laughing upon seeing this picture! :P It looked as though I was training instead of racing cos there's no one around me at all!!! Hah this is hilarious, the posture and everything. But at least this proves I don't jump that close to the hurdle thought it shows how short I am since the hurdle's actually half my height =/

Anyway, miaoqun stayed over at my house last night!! Haha sleepover at my house the first time :) We went to Vivo after school and I finally bought clothes! YAY. There's this nice shop which only has one outlet in Singapore. Mq and I are so going back the next time! We chatted till 1am in the morning before sleeping and had a nice Big Breakfast before watching Harry Potter at 945am at Jurong Point. Haha how I wished everyday could be as carefree as this because I don't have to think about running or studying :) Relaxing is always Fun :) Hmmm when shall my next party time be? :)

Tag replies:

Ash: Heh thanks, I hope your knee is much better now! (:

gha: thanks, hope u're doing well!

Yanting: Haha I will. you study hard for O's alright.

cindy: YES!! I miss you too :( Is australia nice?? Yup I'll practise my speech after Nats end this wed.

yuexi: HAHA touching? I hope I don't cry this time round :)

joan: Told you balloons are cuteee! :P But they're all deflated now already..

Qiulin: yup thanks. Great job to you for 9th pos at 3000m finals! :D Hope you enjoyed ur first ever track Nationals!

waiteng: Haha thanks, see u on speech day too!

The race of the season
So believe it or not, I qualified for 400m Hurdles finals tmr! :D I'm the 6th qualifyer! Woo~ Haha I definitely ran my best (PB!) and was super happy the moment I crossed the finishing line. Only that I felt the intense pain on my right foot, which is currently swollen now :( Please bless me, and let the pain go away tmr. I need and I must finish the race tmr because it contributes to Nj points! Heh be Positive Lynette :) Anyway, many many thanks to those who came down to support us today!! And to those smsed me good luck messages too! I feel so loved :DD Hahah okay time to sleep. My event is at 830am tmr which means I need to be there by 630am which is so so early!! =X More updates about Nationals the next time (:

070707.

What a day it has been. Spent it in solitude which I don't wish to further elaborate on. But even as much as the morning+afternoon was so boring/lonely, guess all was a blessing in disguise! 1.Received an unexepected sms from cindy! :) 2. After training alone and as I was about to cool-down, Joshua stopped me to ask abt my crescent jnr applying for IP. And unknowingly, we chatted for 45minutes on the track!!! =X HAHA it was so funny cos when he asked me for the time I replied 545pm and screamed cos I rber starting my cooldown at 5 pm. Heh he's such a nice person to chit chat with. It was really amazing considering the fact I never really spoke to him before and we talked so much like about everything under the sun as though we knew each other so well. Hah but thanks joshua, u made my day :) And so I guess I was really shagged today since I woke up at 630am to train but because of the stupid rain I din manage to do so until after OP workshop. I need to learn how to control my head when I sleep on buses, because today I embarrased myself twice by knocking my head on someone's shoulders =/ Heh oh and the 3rd and final thing which made me rejoice was the letter I received from Crescent. I was so shocked, elated, ecstatic when I saw that I'm the crescentian of the year too. Goodness gracious me. I screamed when I saw the letter causing my whole family to rush out and told them the good news. Haha I was probably too happy and surprised that I was crying with joy as I showed them the letter. HAHA I don't know who were the teachers who nominated me but thank you mrs yip and mr samat!!!! :) I think they were the ones who constantly looked up to me. Suddenly, it feels like I'm dreaming.. Heh I still can't believe it :)

Some random photos of the balloons I made during enrichment week.

This is the CUTESTT balloon of them all. Haha it was really amusing sculpturing it cos we were giggling at the 'kissable' lips. HAHA :D

And this is a bumble bee! :)

Okay, so i did my homework and checked the start list of both my events 400mH and 800m. Couldn't find the results for last year's Nats so maybe it's fated I should not know who are the competitors who are stronger. Gahh but well, I'm really really nervous this time round. Mr Lim was talking to me yesterday and telling me about the timings for top 8 etc etc. Really did freak me out cos I feel kind of pressurized to perform. Somehow or rather, I'm told that much is expected of me for Nationals this year and that is bad in my perspective. Dont know what to expect although I won't deny I did put my heart and soul into trainings. Followed closely to the schedule and was disciplined enough to even wake up in the wee hours just to train. So now comes the race for my hardwork to pay. Yes I'm scared :/ Worst of all, both my feet has blisters and the skin's all coming out, totally disgusting. I think it's because of the intense heat from the track lately. Oh well, I hope this can be the first year of my Nationals season that I can make it to the finals. But no matter what, I shall just do my best and worry later. No point stressing myself out now cos I know I perform better if I relax. So just run! (:

Partings are the worst things in life.
Just came back from Changi Airport after sending Cindy off. Take care my dear! Really hope these 7 months would fly pass.. So all her friends and family were there, me and vivian being the youngest around. Joan said I would cry, and guess I really did :( CINDY I MISS YOU!! She lost so much weight, seeing her cry as she left made me feel even worse. So i teared all the way as I walked from terminal 1 to 2 until the mrt when this guy started talking to me. It was so weird cos he asked me about school life in nj, told me about universities overseas, emphasized the need to sit for SATs. WEIRD. He even shook my hand to introduce himself. Oh well. Journey home took exactly 60mins, it seemed much faster than I expected cos the thought of taking from changi airport to boon lay was definitely not a nice one, esp travelling alone. And it was worst cos I stood through the whole journey, carrying a transparent plastic bag filled with balloons!! It was so embarrassing and I could tell when people kept staring at me=/ Well well Lynette is sad :(

Luxury is having a meal with good friends =D

So the past few days I've been eating lots of good food. Gelare, cafe cartel, nydc, starbucks, BBQ and new york. All just within 3 days. Haha tell me I am growing fat! But seems like it had given me more energy to run somehow! Today's weather was super hot, burned us during our OCS Visit. But it was such a good experience to me (: Saw the different weapons used in army, ate the food served in army, and 'played' with the camel cream thingy used for camouflaging. Haha Pop/rock video culture was quite interesting too! But now I am so overwhlemed with STRESS. I opened my mailbox and there were 16 emails, all of which were of high importance =/ PBC Proposal is due this sunday! CIP letters to be sent to schools by this week. Speech to be sent by TONIGHT!!!! Oh my, I am so flustered =/ AHH nvm, photos update!

Perfomers' Visit to Boys Town. 3/5 of the girls present among the 100plus guys. HAH ;)

Just one of the bands which performed with all guys as their audience!

The rose this guy/boy gave me. I can't rber his name or if he even did tell me. It was super hilarious. Jasmine had a bouquet of such roses! HAHAHAHA.

I'm proud to annouce I've eaten Krabby Patties before :) Sheng bought this for me from Australia and it's so nice!! Cos its Spongebob! =P

XC GIRLS DINNER OUTING- 3 July 2007

Say goodbye to the lovely track where we trained our hearts out. It'll be gone for 8 months starting from this monday :(

Qiulin, Yiyan, Crystal, Shufang! :)

Miaoqun and ME :)

Melissa and Raman :)

And our group photo after dinner at Cafe Cartel! Haha I think the waiter was not so pleased with us cos we were quite troublesome! Sorry!

We proceeded to Gelare for our deserts. Waffles were at half price :)

The process of taking this photo was super funny cos it attracted lots of unnecessary attention :/ Yiyan had to put up her hands as though she was surrendering. Haha.

IP1s with Miaoqun :)

Mel and I shared a large waffle and we each only paid $3! Man we're so going to come to Gelare every tuesday after our Nats! :)

The IP1s enjoying their ice cream waffles.

So were the J1s! :)

And finally, the last and nicest group photo of the day! :)

XC dinner was fun fun fun and I think it really bonded the 8 of us! Would have been a complete reunion if the J2s-Chihua and Tseruey came. Heh nevertheless, we're all looking forward to more outings to come :D

Okay so Nationals officially begin tmr and I am more than just scared. Heh oh well, we're just going to do our best on the track! GO NJ! GO CRESCENT! WE CAN DO IT :)
