It's been another week of travelling to and fro from home to lot one to cck stadium. But it's been a good week, especially friday. Congrats to Shalom for getting FIRST for 400m and breaking the record!! I'm so proud of you Loms, you deserve this shiny gold medal! :D We're all so happy for you!! And Raman got 3rd for 1500m, Congrats too! Hahah I was so touched when she msged me at night to thank me for her win in some way;) I hope NJ will continue to do well next week. Just 2 more days of events, tomorrow and Wednesday. But come tmr, it'll be pretty obvious whether we can get the 4th. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed.
Since tmr's my 400m Hurdles Finals, I'm giving myself the excuse not to study again. I don't know where I'm gonna get the drive to start my full time studying after wed=/ Well, settle Nationals first. Talked to Qiulin at Mos for about 1.5 hr today, time always seem to pass faster when we sit down and talk compared to shopping. Haha, it was a good talk, I felt like we havent spoken for the longest time. But it really made me scared for my finals, especially 800m. 2 rounds and it's over, it scary when everyone will try to run on lane1 so you can just imagine how squeezy it is, for 16people to run on lane1 compared to sprint events where each person runs on one lane. It's even worst when it's on the FINAL day, where there'll be 2000 over people at cck stadium. I can't seem to get over that anxiety, feels like the whole world will be there watching =S I know Mr Lim has high hopes on me, and obviously I don't wanna let anyone down. All the past trainings will be for that final race. AHHHHH I'M SCARED THINKING ABOUT IT. But seriously, just like Qiulin said too, Mr Irwan said the nicest thing to me on Friday.
"Lynette, whatever happens, just know that I'm very proud of you already." It's those words you hear already, you're so touched that you can't bring yourself to even say anything. And it's true that I know, that Mr Irwan really cares for me as much as he never fails to disturb me in every possible way. I think even though Nationals has yet to end, it has already been an extremely memorable journey. This year, there were many people who made it an entirely different experience for me. Those who came down to support me, gave me pep talks before my races, said a whole lot of advice and encouragement, calmed my nerves before races, provided me with a comfortable massage, I just don't know how to thank them enough. This Nationals probably convinced me that I DO love running after all, and maybe it will be the reason why I would come back to NJ to run with the juniors next year. After all, the greatest joys have always been linked to Track.
So GOOD LUCK to the remaining girls running tmr and wed. Jade, Estelle, Grace, Shalom, Xinru, Wanching. And the throwers Jonathan, Yanwen, Alwyn. WE CAN DO IT!! :DDD
