WHITE HOUSES;

my dirty little secrets.

I survived a 4 hour long tuition today, thankfully it wasn't as tiring as I expected it to be. Lunch was a slice of bread with nutella at least it gave me enough energy to last another 2 hours with 2 very very talkative students. Haha and because they speak so quickly and loudly, sometimes I hardly know what they're talking about! Reminds me a little of myself whenever people tell me I speak too fast haha. As students, we complain about tuition or even how stressful school is. But frankly, teachers don't have it any better.

Anyway, class gathering last night at my place was awesome:D BBQ, gift exchange great company etc etc. As usual, we made lots of noise but I'm glad everyone enjoyed themselves. I wonder when will be the next time we would meet up together as a class again. So Wendy, Vanessa and I baked a cake to celebrate the december babies birthdays as well as celebrate christmas! Was still worried the cake would taste bad but thankfully it didnt :) And we baked some gingerbread cookies to celebrate xmas too!The guys wrote little notes to us as a farewell gift and some of the notes were really personal. As I read them, it was as though I could feel their sincerity through those words. And the video the NJPDA made for the girls was very nice, brought back so many memories, right since we entered this school in the OG13 and as 07S11 before changing class to become 07S23. I look back and feel so blessed to be in this class, with classmates of extremely different personalities yet together we were bonded as one. Thank you NJPDA for being the joke (hahah no offence intended) of the class, bringing much joy and laughter to our stressful/mundane life. Come to think of it, I'm gonna miss this class alot, just like how I miss C2. These 2 classes are the best I had in my 12 years of schooling :)

The feeling of reciveing money for your time just feels so wonderful :D
I got my first pay today from tuition today!! Haha it's the first time I recieved that a few $50 note from a stranger, and it's quite weird cos they actually paid me for 3 weeks when I only taught for about a week! Furthermore I was given $20 extra as a christmas gift HAHA I rejected it at first, but he insisted so hahah yes, I accepted it in the end :) To make me even happier, it seems like he introduced me to his friend so now I got another 2 students. But I've yet to take up the offer, my only concern is that I may not be able to handle next year esp if I'm teaching at DSS. Heh acually, I guess I'll be teaching them too after I meet up with their family :)
So it's been a happy day today :D I met up with qiulin for lunch and gave her the peanut butter & nutella truffles (above) I made. (NICOLE! I succeeded :D Hahah it looks the same as the one online and yupp it tastes good too! You should try it too, it's fairly easy just a little time consuming only.) If I knew she was going share with the trackers I would have packed much more! Hahah I feel quite happy when some of them actually smsed me to thank me for the tasty truffles hahaha my juniors are cute. Since there was extra cake mixture, I baked some cupcakes too! Haha but it didn't taste as good as those I baked last week, probably cos it was pre-mixed and not baked from scratch.

I am certainly making full use of the oven with all these baking just that the ingredients can get really costly :( This week alone I spent $30 on all the ingredients already! Heh I think I can make quite alot of money if I were to sell all these cupcakes/cookies. But well, I think I get more joy baking than eating it haha and it makes me even happier when the people who ate them say it tastes good! :D

AND OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW SILLY MY WHOLE FAMILY AND I ARE. HAHAHA the reason why I said this is cos we all thought A HYENA is a BIRD when it is actually a DOG HAHAHA. And how I discovered this was through my tuition kid when we were doing science today. He said he saw a hyena before and I told him it was a bird and that got him really confused cos he remembered it was a dog. He even drew it out to convince me. Haha so I started to doubt myself and said I wasn't sure. I goggled it earlier and horrors of horrors, it's really a dog that looks like this : Hahah I seriously cannot imagine how we have always assumed that a laughing hyena (how can a dog like this laugh?!?!) was a bird =/ Hahah yes go ahead and laugh at me. I feel so embarrassed, I better clarify with him on the next lesson. Sometimes I think his general knowledge is far better than mine, oh man I need to read alot more!

I AM SO TIRED =/
Unknowingly I've chatted for 3 hours already my eyes are hurting now. Hahaha and my shoulders are aching too. Yesterday helped the Caneoiests collect old items for one whole day. It was quite fun but extremely exhuasting. First time I carried this huge stack of newpapers which weighed a ton HAHA and Yen and I carried and electric oven too. It was both weights and land training, walking from block to block, unit to unit collecting newspapers, electrical appliances, books. So I slept like a log when I reached home haha probably for 10 hours. Even when I gave tuition this morning I was still feeling sleepy. Haha and seeing my student yawn made things worst..

Christmas is coming, it's gonna be a busy week ahead!! Lots of baking, like 4 times this week, class gatherings etc etc I'm quite excited :D

How do you explain the meaning of figurines and support to a 7 year old kid?
HAHA yes I was kind of stumped when we came across these 2 words in a compre passage. Well I know what the words mean, just didn't know how to explain it in simple terms that he could understand. Hahaha but he did in the end, I hope :) So my first tuition lesson turned out okay, I think it was great fun! The boy's adorable, at least not as quiet when I first met him on monday so that's a good thing. Even though everyone around me keep telling me how little I'm being paid, I guess I really don't mind. I felt so happy after tuition ended, like how I just imparted some knowledge to him :D Haha getting paid little is better than staying home and not doing anything meaningful. Yay I'm looking forward to my next lesson (:

My aunt came over today and finally stayed late enough to meet my parents. I'm so glad my dad and her spoke after I dont know how many years of cold war. Still remember those days she used to bring my brother and I out when we were really young. Haha I was quite amused when she called me an endangered species, for tutoring regardless of how much I'm being paid. And how she said I look like a HongKonger instead of a Hainanese. Compliment I suppose? Well, it's been a great week so far. Finally having time for myself, resting at home after that busy last week. Celebrating birthdays, getting a belated birthday treat, watching Bolt 3D(which was really cool!), eating half priced gelare waffles, talking on the phone and tuitioning :) I guess this holiday after A's is what I've been waiting for.

Crappp I was so careless, there's now a line across the screen of my camera. And I feel so sad since my dad bought it just before my prom only :( ARGHHH. I dont dare to tell him, probably get it fixed this weekend and hopefully it's just a scratch on the screen protector.

Anyway this week is probably the busiest week ever. Everyday I'm meeting different people, I'm out early and not back for dinner. But at least I'm really enjoying myself. On Tuesday, went HortPark with Yingliang and Claire to imitate the pictures Ms Ng took during her bridal shot. We made her a scrapbook with all the photos! Haha it certainly felt like an adventure like trying to pose exactly like how she and her fiancee did. And this picture is probably the most similar :)
And I saw this pretty heart which I didn't even realise was a stool! :)

OHH and there was this structure I think it was called 'living walls' which has the chinese word fu if you can see it. It was only after I took the photo that I realised it wasnt just flowers that were randomly arranged.

Just some group shots. I think HortPark is sucha nice place. The photos turned out really good with the greenery etc I wanna go back again!! :D

Wednesday met ning and sheng for lunch. How fast it's been 6 years since we've been good friends! :) And it's amazing how each time when we meet up it's just for a meal and we stay for probably 2 hours or so but yet it feels like we're as close as ever. Heh well that sure is a good thing. Miss those C2 days alot alot, probably one of those best times I ever had in crescent :)

Stayed over at ning's house we went Anchorpoint for dinner. Gonna ask my parents to go there too it changed so much. And the shops are mostly factory outlets so it's cheaper too! Her dad drove past Queenstown stadium and it kind of brought back any memories, like those torturous trngs-200mX20 =/ Plus that freak incident went I hyperventilated during Sports Heats. Omg I can vivdly recall that day, that spot I was left lying for dunno how long. Grabbing Cindy's hand and crying so much I really thought I was gonna die. Big trauma. Even up till now, whenever I think about it, I get really scared still :X So so we just gotta live life to the fullest! (:

I'm so lovin' it.

Mum bought me an oven yesterday and Nicole came over to bake today, it was awesome! :D I miss her company so much we had great fun baking together. From how silly we were trying to weigh 180+ grams of butter, to making shapes out of the chocolate cake, to improvising the recipe to suit the outcome HAHAHA. Thank you Nicole for bringing over your electric mixer haha i think we would have taken forever without it ;) The cookies cakes turned out quite nicely and it looked pretty just a little too sweet. I think the photos in Nicole's cam are nicer.

Ahhh I love baking I'm so happy I got the oven now I can bake/cook/grill everyday! Gonna have to master lasagne and baked rice for christmas dinner! And bake a cake for class gathering for my classmates :) Looking at all the recipes and pretty cupcakes/cookies make me so tempted to bake right now! Hahaha these spongebob patrick cookies are so adorable but it think they're very time consuming. QIUUU I think I can join you in the cooking school already la :P

TRACK SENIORS FAREWELL. (DISNEY)

Juniors planned a farewell for us yesterday at Amanda's house. A totally different feeling from last year, probably because we're the ones graduating and not the ones planning it. And it was less formal and we had a bbq instead of pot luck. Asshole daidi, snap jack, a game of pig where you had to get four of the same kind, TV shows-nonya & Don't forget the lyrics; made us laugh and scream so much, my throat's really hurting now. Haha but it was great fun with the juniors, certainly miss them all! Thanks for the dinner, the gifts and the company :D I came to realise that trackers are such a talkative bunch, when you put us altogether everyone just keeps talking like no one is really listening. So all you hear is just noise. Haha and when you play a game of pig, you realise who are those who can get fooled easily..

Mickey, bunny and Minnie (:

Shufang with the Charcoal Black and 7 'Dwarfts'. They were far like dwafts cos the throwers and crossers are such tall guys! Haha I took a while to finally get what they meant when they said Ash was charcoal black.. A substitute for Snow White =/

Cross girls who entered NJ in 2007!

Seniors! It was extremely smoky in the house due to the BBQ outside that the photo is very unclear..
Towels from IKEA! Our farewell gifts.

BISHAN BUDDIES :D Hahaha they live so near each other, probably a street apart haha I wanna stay in Bishan too!!

Stayed over at Qiulin's house and we watched Another Cinderella Story. It's such a silly show haha the classic one is way better. I couldn't get to sleep after that despite being so tired and feeling so unwell. I just lay wide awake and thought about many many things. When I finally got to sleep, hahaha usarin kicked me twice and I had trouble falling asleep again. So as usual, I woke up the earliest despite being the last to sleep. Dimsum breakfast and I drank the most terrible tasting milk tea ever, it was sooooo milky I felt like puking after that =/ Hahaha I'm rather fussy when it comes to food! Cooked korean noodles for lunch it's so weird I actually washed the dishes after we finished eating when I don't even clear the mess I make at home whenever I cook. Heh Qiuuu I saved you the trouble of washing up :P
I was so bored I did some personality test from yongjian's blog and was so amused by the results! This is what it said about me:

Extroversion
Score
Average Male:51
Average Female: 67
Your Score: 85
You are more outgoing than the average female is. When people interact with you, they immediately notice that you are not shy about meeting and greeting new people. This is one of the most influential parts of your personality. You are also more outgoing than the average male is. Males are social, but they typically require more quiet time, away from other people, in order to recover energy.
Hahah I quite agree with this? Since I'm aware I'm very talkative hahaha but the one below, maybe not very accurate? Either that or I'm just not aware of myself..

Emotionality
Score
Average Male: 74
Average Female: 76
Your Score:27
You are more relaxed and calm than the average female and male are when it comes to stress and feeling intense emotions. The average female and male are more reactive to their feelings and mood swings than you are. Your balanced way of dealing with emotions is a guiding part of your personality. The average male and female are similar in their level of emotionality. Women, however, tend to talk about their feelings and emotions more than men do. Starting in early childhood, girls are encouraged to express their feelings more than boys are.

I've been tagged by Nicole to list 18 things that most people don't know about me so I just do this first before I blog proper.

1. I can cook a proper meal(: (more than just instant noodles, fried rice etc)
2. I don't like receiving soft toys cos I usually chuck themaside in my cupboard.
3. I like kids!
4. I used to tie 2 ponytails to school everyday in Primary School, even in upper pri =/ Omg and the reason I gave was that it was easier to tie 2 than 1 =/
5. I'm rather emotional, cry kind of easily.
6. Even my best friends may not know my inner most feelings/secrets.
7. I still like dancing :) Miss those primary school days.
8. I think alot about life, past present and future.
9. I'm very observant hahah think mq knows this the best.
10. I don't usually express how I'm really feeling(unless I'm very happy/sad) hence it's actually quite difficult to know what I'm really thinking.
11. I keep all letters/cards people give me. Haha I was packing my room and saw some letter when I was in Primary school it was so amusing.
12. Some of my friends say I seem very close to my family. Yes but not to the extent that I'll talk to them about my problems etc.
13. I can't let go of feelings so easily.
14. I still don't know how to play bridge properly after being taught by my friends so many times. I just can't identify my partner!
15. I don't really like pets or rather I'm afraid I don't have time to take care of them haha cos I still remember how I had a goldfish and a terrapin when I was very very young and they both died:(
16. I can be quite lazy too.
17. I still don't really have a clear idea of what I really want to do in future.
18. I don't bear grudges. Forgive and forget :)

2 days after Prom, after all those glam pictures taken, it finally struck me how that day would actually be the last time I'll be seeing my peers altogether as one. True be told, I remember how I dreaded school some times in Term 3 last year for reasons I can't rber. Only recall how I would complain about not liking the school etc. Of course this year was tons better, if not for the class I'm in I would probably have really hated school. The boring life, the heaps of work. I gotta admit, however noisy and lame the class guys were, they really brightened up school life :D I was looking through the CD I got I think nic and yihui complied it. Hahah unknowingly, we've taken so many pictures together as a class (like a hundred over) though majority were the PDA. But still, there are fond memories shared with the class, no way will I forget them :) Haha just look at the retarded picture below of the class guys, I really had a good laugh.

SHAGGED.

Prom last night was awesome, I think it was even better than Crescent's. From PRE PROM:

While waiting for the lady to come, we were in the hotel watching some chinese drama. Wendy in her 'auntie' clothes hahaha.

To PROM itself.

It was photo after photo think everyone enjoyed themselves, all looked glam! :) Guess the money was well spent. My entire class was there, it was fun singing along with Zac, watching the guys with their swords and shields as they call themselves the 'Grad Knights.' To think some people even thought we girls were the one who bought it for them! HAHA no, we made them smtg nicer:D These boards are actually quite heavy, it weighs 2kg!! I was lugging so many things to Swissotel it was quite dumb cos I couldnt open the side door, the security guard had to help me. And then I carried a bag which was rather big so I kept knocking into people, so embarrassing.

And Post-Prom:

We roamed in the vicinity, walking from Swissotel to Fullerton to Clarke Quay to Esplanade and finally back. By the time we reached the hotel it was around 4plus am everyone was so tired. once it hit 2am I was already like a zombie haha I wanted to get back to sleep. In the end, I resorted to lying on the floor at Esplanade it was so dirty hahah.

More photos on Facebook, hahha yes I finally got an account :)

Left Swissotel quite early this morning when some other were still asleep, haha just imagine 17 of us in a room, we just found space and slept at every corner, the balcony, the floor, outside the toilet haha. Came home and only managed to sleep for 4 hours.
