WHITE HOUSES;

my dirty little secrets.

Finally completed mail merging all the documents to be printed for schools and non-mainstream organisations. My fingers feel stiff now since I didn't use the mouse... Well, at least it's done :)

The past few days, weeks, I've been in deep thought, often wondering whether it was possible to ever find a way to just get rid of all the stress/pressure. The workload has simply been immense, and often leave me feeling helpless because I just can't seem to find enough time to complete my assigned tasks. I find myself coming home each day after work, not to rest, but to do even more work. It's quite sad come to think of it, especially now it's the best time to relax, or so it seems. Sometimes I just wished I was more submissive, and accept anything that people say, without offering my opinions. And at times, I wished I didn't have the 'give your best in everything you do' attitude because that just adds on to your stress level. After last Saturday, I told myself I gotta take things easy, gotta be strong and mustn't break down cos of stress/people's words ever again. I thought I convinced myself that I no longer take things so hard anymore, but it seems like it's easier said than done. I don't wish to worry anyone, and my sister told me that stress causes cancer and that scared me quite terribly. I wish I could just download everything from my mind and leave me stress-free! That's utter rubbish I know. So many wishes I have, sigh.

But from the bottom of my heart, I really would like to thank all those who have shared my burden and listened to me rant.

It really helps to talk it out when you're feeling really miserable. Talking really makes you feel so much better, thanks boon :)

Looks like I'll be spending Saturday home!

I never knew that being a project director was this hard, seriously.
It aint the same as being the leader of your CCA, or Council or anything school-based. Probabaly YFC comes the closest to Tapestry. I really salute the past PDs cause now I am fully aware what they went through. Just imagine having to read and vet through all the letters from respective committees that will be sent to schools, LTA, STB etc etc. And every week, you have to think of the agenda and edit the minutes of the meetings. Signing dont know how many letters that will be sent out to schools, coming up a 20 odd pages long proposal. And the list of things goes on.. As much as I'm feel rather stressed most of the time, looking at the things I gotta do each day plus receiving about 30 emails today!!! Hahah but at least some of the things I've learnt through planning this event has enabled me to put them into good use for my work too. So it's pretty good? I seriously keep my fingers cross and hope that Tapestry09 will be a huge success :)

I'll be conducting the Public Speaking workshop at Park View Pri for the first time this friday! Ahh I'm quite scared I hope the P4 students will not be too mischievious...

If there is a Most Caring Boss Award, I will definitely want to nominate my boss. He's probably the nicest boss I've came across, though maybe I can't say that since he is sort of my first boss as teaching in school there isn't really a boss, rather a principal.
Last week, he smsed me on one of the nights, asking if I was over-stressed, if so, I was supposed to let him know. It may be just a simple message, but certainly it feels nice to know that you've got a boss who cares for you. Yesterday, I went to work with a flu and he took the trouble to go to the nearest pharmacy to buy me Panadol Flu. At night, he called me to ask me not to go to work today and stay home to rest. Being the stubborn girl I've always been, I obviously said I'm fine to work today hahah. In the end, I didn't work today since I had a rather high fever last night. And guess what, he really went the extra mile to drive to my house to send me my laptop since I left it in office yesterday! On top of that, he drove me to see my family doctor! Seriously, I was quite touched by all his actions. Later in the afternoon, he called to check on me again asking me to rest well. Isn't he a nice boss? :)

Track Nationals began yesterday and from the results so far, I think the Boys team is looking pretty good! Looks like this is the year for them, and judging that most of them are J1s this year, things will probably be even better come next yr. Haha the tables have turned :) Hope they would continue getting points and emerge 4th this yr. Girls team, 8 points so far, not bad too! Raman's running tmr, it's our chance to get points again! Suddenly, I feel connected to Track once again even though it's been about a year since my season.. Don't exactly enjoy running anymore and I think that's a bad thing since I rarely exercise and the result is: Falling sick more often than before. 2 days MC, hopefully, this will be the end of the fever/flu bug.

Rochestor Park.
Nice place with great ambience and delicious food. Even though the price was a little steep but surprisingly I didn't feel the pinch, probably because it was such a nice place which makes me wanna go back again! Thanks ning for the recommendation:)

AND I SHOPPED ONLINE FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY!

Get well soon! :)

Sometimes I wonder if it's really worth it to give your best in everything you do. I thought it wouldn't have mattered much, but knowing it makes me a little upset? That's why people always say not to compare, but some things just can't be helped.
SIGHS, it's been a bad day. And I forgot to bring my handphone to work:(

Yay the weekend is here, I'm so glad:)
Surprisingly this week passed so quickly, I wonder if it's because I'm enjoying my work more? Though it does get pretty tiring at times, you just feel like sleeping when you reach home. I hate to see the sky turn dark as I return home from work and spend about an hour travelling. It's really times like these I wished I could drive. And this morning!! Argh, talking about it makes me so... Had to be at ZhengHua Pri to conduct the Study Skills workshop at 7am so I decided to take 187 there. After travelling for half an hour, it was 7am already and I was still at Westmall, so I alighted to take a cab. There was no cab in sight so I called for one, and how silly of me cos I didnt hold on to get the cab no. Only when I called back after 10mins did I realise my call wasnt processed=/ So obviously I was super late, totally broke down when the cab finally arrived, took some time to calm myself down. It was just such a mad rush today, after the 5 hour long workshop, had to rush to Park View Pri for another workshop, but this time was on Public Speaking. The kids were just too hyperactive and hard to control! But it was fun nevertheless:)And it's the first time I see students writing in the feedback form: "Come back again, I want more of such workshops." Hahah makes me feel happy to know that the workshop was a success! Sometimes it's small things like that which makes you happy:)

I kinda blurted out to my boss that I won't wanna set up a company like this when I grow up next time as it robs people of their personal lives. I felt so bad after saying that, hope he doesn't take it to heart. Oh well, at least the day ended well with a nice dinner earlier and yay I don't have to work tmr :D
