Exams are finally over, what a relief. Somehow, the joys werent as great as how I felt when I finished my Jap paper last thursday.
On a night like this, I can't help thinking about my grandma once again. Ever since the fall she had almost 3 weeks ago and then admitted to the hospital for hip surgery, each time the phone rang, our hearts would literally skipped a beat. Frankly, I've never been gripped with so much fear and pain in quite a while :( Visited her for the third time today and I can't help but have tears welling up in my eyes each time I see her lying in bed, looking so frail. At least this time was better, she spoke and acknowleged my presence before she started blabbering nonsense again and scare the hell out of me. I could see tears in her eyes even as she spoke to me and I keep telling myself I must be strong in front of her, I cannot cry. But seeing her in that state, I really couldn't hold back those tears. I know I can't do anything, except visit her more often especially now that it's the holidays and St Luke's pretty convenient whether im in hall or home. Life certainly is unpredictable and I'm so glad I decided to stay home the past 3 weeks instead of hall. At least I managed to make time with my family and really listen to my parents rant at night. As my dad said, the only thing that makes him happy now is that he feels very blessed with a nice family.
And really, nothing seems to make me happier than to bring a smile to people. MAYBE just MAYBE I should consider majoring in Social Work instead.
Others before Self, I wonder who/what made me have that value in life.
